Shipping policy

Delivery

Please note we currently only ship to UK addresses.

  1. You must be at the delivery address. We cannot leave your order outside, in a bin, behind a gate, or with a neighbour. Your presence is required to receive the delivery.
  2. If your item is delivered by DPD, you will receive a unique PIN sent to the mobile number provided with your order.
  3. Prepare your property for our arrival, especially if you are receiving larger items. Clear any obstructions such as stair gates, vases, or even the cat! Protect your floors if necessary.

Delivery of goods within England, Wales & Southern Scotland is FREE on all orders* over £50 and only £5.95 (inc. vat) on all orders up to £50.00. We aim to despatch all 'In Stock' orders within 48 hours. We use DPD for small items and Fast Despatch or APC for larger shipments. All orders are despatched insured and remain the property of UK Baby Centre until signed for. *All items of furniture will incur an extra charge for delivery we are unable to deliver furniture to Northern Scotland, Northern Ireland and all Islands off the coast of Britain. Shipping & Handling Non- Mainland UK and parts of Scotland.

Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, and some addresses in Scotland - (Highlands and rural areas) will incur additional delivery charges on small parcels, we are unable to deliver furniture and oversized items to these locations. Our check out will pick up whether an extra charge is to be made when you enter your address.

Any failed deliveries must be reported within 7 days of the delivery confirmation email/text.

NOTE: Delivery times mentioned below are only for items in stock and may vary depending on the stock availability. Orders cannot not be left in a safe place or with a neighbour; the customer must be present to accept the delivery.


UK Mainland 1-4 Working Days for "in-stock" items (Excludes Scottish Highlands)

  • Item on backorder/pre-order and will be shipped as soon as it becomes available.
  • FREE Delivery on all orders over £49.99
  • Sent via Tracked DPD & APC delivery service
  • If order is under £49.99, a delivery charge of £5.95 will be applied
  • Any product not in stock will display 'Pre Order' or a similar message.
  • Saturday Delivery is available for £19.99 (If ordered before 3pm on Friday) and the total order weight is under 25Kg (Excludes Furniture and v.large items). Saturday delivery must be arranged with us by phone or email.
  • Items of Furniture and Furniture Sets may take longer depending on the Brand
  • During Bank holidays, and busy periods such as Black Friday and Christmas expect delays

Scottish Highlands 2-4 Working Days , Scottish Island 2-5 Working Days for "in-stock" items

  • Item on backorder/pre-order and will be shipped as soon as it becomes available.
  • £9.95 Delivery Charge regardless of order value (Extra Delivery Charges For Few Brands)

Isle of Wight for 1-3 Working Days for "in-stock" items

  • Item on backorder/pre-order and will be shipped as soon as it becomes available.
  • £19.99 Delivery Charge and a maximum order weight limit of 30kg
  • We do not deliver items of furniture to these locations

Customers must report any failed deliveries, damaged items, or missing parts within 7 days of receiving the delivery confirmation email or text message.

Please make sure you are available to receive the delivery as orders cannot not be left in a safe place or with a neighbour. When placing your order, please only submit your mobile number because some courier companies will send you a unique PIN to your mobile number/email that must be provided to the delivery driver in order to receive the delivery.

Items eligible for free delivery will not be sent in separate shipments. If the customer needs to split the shipment, an additional shipping charge will apply.

Any order that is cancelled after it has been dispatched will still incur a delivery charge that will reflect in your refund. This includes items eligible for free delivery. We can take up to 48 hours to respond to emails. If you need to cancel an order, please call us.

Ship to Shop Missed Collections & Charges

If an order placed for Ship to Shop collection is not picked up within the designated timeframe, it will be considered as failed delivery collection. In such cases, a failed delivery collection charge of £3.99 will be applied to cover the costs of processing and returning the item.

Saturday Delivery

We offer a Saturday delivery service to most of the mainland UK at a cost of £19.99, orders must be received no later than 3:00pm on the Friday before. Saturday delivery must be arranged with us by phone or email. Furniture and large items are excluded from Saturday delivery due to their size and weight . Unfortunately we are unable to offer this service to the Scottish Highlands and islands such as Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Mann , France. Germany and Ireland. Please call 01202 730630.

Furniture Set Delivery Times

Some furniture sets come direct from the manufacturer. Please allow more time for delivery.

We only deliver furniture items within the UK.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to despatch all ’In Stock’ orders within 48 hours.

If unfortunately a parcel arrives damaged or appears to have been opened during transit, please sign for as 'damaged' or 'unchecked' so a claim can be processed.

Wrong Delivery Address / Delivery address different to Billing address

If you provide us with a wrong delivery address and your goods are signed for by another party, UK Baby Centre cannot be held responsible for any losses you may incur as a result.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, it will show as ’Backorder’ or have an estimated delivery date. We will backorder for you and advise you by email of an approximate delivery date. Most orders will be fulfilled within 30 days.

Finance Orders

Please note for security reasons finance orders must be shipped to the address used for the finance application.

Finance is only available to UK customers.

Delivery / Signature Disputes

In the case of a delivery which has been signed for but gone missing at the delivery address or been requested for the parcel/s to be left in a 'safe' location and then gone missing an investigation will be started as this a criminal offence of theft from a property. The driver will be interviewed and go back to your address again to confirm where he left the parcel and then an investigation on the theft of this item will start. DPD / APC Security manager will start by asking if you and your neighbours if you/they have CCTV on their properties or vehicles to see if there is any footage of the theft from your property and then go from there. Possibly the police may have to be involved. Unfortunately, this process can take up to 7 working days for this to complete. After this a Denial of receipt letter will be sent to you that you must sign and return it before any replacement will be sent out.
